Waste - Foster the People

Today, tomorrow's activities are all council-related. Constantly I find myself reflecting and asking myself

Why did I get myself into all these shit in the first place? ".

Registration duty tomorrow for Prom 2011 at Conrad Centennial.
Briefing for Sec one GeNASis camp 2012 today.

Sally Blue

I've not been catching up with work, though it's supposed to be the holidays. I got held up by a camp. After it ended, reality (still, as always) hit me in the face: No time for revision, homework, idleness.

However, the camp was rather alright, I saw a wild monitor lizard basking in the sun, a herd of funny monkeys and a shy snake. Some parts of it were really hilarious, especially the talk by this bald round comical dude with a peculiar accent;

"Oh my god the strings turned pink; I almost wanted to paint the whole yangqin pink lor! "

But the best was quietly plugging into MIKA throughout the hour-and-a-half bus rides. It was crazily long - so long that I resorted to eating lunch at the back of the bus.

Chinese O levels in 3 days time and I'm surprisingly chill about it. If I don't attain an A this time round (chances are, judging from my calibre, zilch) I'll be kicked out of higher mother tongue. Actually I don't really mind.

Part of me wants to remain in higher mother tongue, so I can just get a passing grade for next year's O's and not do anymore chinese, but another part of me'll feel guilty for I'll probably neglect Chinese for the rest of my life.

I guess I'll let nature takes its course on that day. Till then, I shall invest a substantial amount of time revising.

Ooof the HORROR

I just had this really traumatic experience reading my pasts posts oh god I'm just abit short of worshiping the "Revert to Draft" option for those embarrassing posts. I actually typed in ahlian language (?!) as evident from my 2008/20009 posts (ya la go dig into my archives la) and majority of my posts had ZERO substance. My posts were PEPPPERED with copious amounts of "lar"s and - omg, wait for it - "LARS"s. I was blogging about the smallest details of my prepubescent life which obviously no one gives a damn about. Seriously they are all cringe-worthy and eye-roll-evoking!!!

Go take a look under the Archives section if you're short of comic relief.
But isn't it such a relief now that I'm blogging with a tolerable standard of English in comparison to my ahlian days?

Hurhurhur. Chow!

I like studying because it gives me the assurance that I am getting more knowledgeable and do well for O Levels.

What a pathetic life for a SPARKy.

This Chinese New Year was great, with exotic Thai food at a tiny restaurant off Orchard Rd called Suanthai, Blackjack (tho I lost 60 bucks T.T), food, redpackets and minus the typically unpleasant-tasting steamboat sessions (note plural form -_-).

Common tests are coming!!!!! Must win this minor battle

What I wished for happened. Unfortunately in my dreams.

Feel the sudden urge to blog 'cause this post would be abt MTDC Graduation Night, and it's so memorable I better type it out just incase my memory fails me when I get older hahah.

In the morning went to Pasirris sec for some minor tuning. Had a meal at Manpuku (which made me had diarrhea at night -_-) before heading to SCH.

Sooooo in a nutshell not alot of minor accidents happened during rehearsal time, only like the wheel of the yq stand dropped out. We only had one rehearsal, which does not suffice :/

The first song was 童年的回忆, totally sucked at my solo part like omg wthhhhhhh. But look on the bright side, I believe no one from the audience will ever notice lor since normally yq can't be heard. -_-

THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY WAS 旱天雷. The sense of satisfaction I felt was indescribable when i heard our recording. Like finally ALL our hardwork into perfecting that one piece of song paid off on that night, just for that short 4 minutes. Ultimate happiness.

However things were sorta different backstage before and after the concert. My mind was blank like seriously and I couldn't even recall what to do when I enter our stage haha! Go in, look composed, bow, look at my friends, nod head, nod head, play.

As the lead melody (ha. ha. ha) I was compelled to look confidence, exude confidence and smile. Ok la, I did all that luckily but my yq sad case; one of the vital note went out of tune haiz. Quite obvious but neh mind. After the performance @ backstage was totally wild. I was quite contented even though some of us made mistakes.

^That was post-performance. Guess what I pinned up my fringe. I know I looked like shit but I was so afraid it would affect my vision or something lol.

Thruout the one year of weekly practices I would say that our efforts bore fruits during the grad night. Will definitely miss MDTC.

On a happier note: I manage to take a photo with Joshen aka Cello Prince Charming! :D Awesome soloist, despite his emoness and unfriendliness. Made me and Regine swoon over him. Haha abit exaggerated but he does really look good when playing the cello.

It was also the first time I'd ever received a flower on that night. Thanks Nasco ^^

WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE MY LOVE FOR YOU, SO FORGET IT.

so far JANUARY WAS

experimental
unforgettable
fun
happy
pissed
touched
embarrassed
new
exhausting
edgy

It's so hard to sum it up within these few words but if I blogged about my experiences within this month so far, I'll end up writing an essay I swear.
Ok so basically I attended Sec One Orientation and it was definitely an eye opener. Being an amateur leader, it was my first time leading like one whole class so definitely I learnt positive/negative points about my leadership qualities. Should totally try to improve on my temper and debriefing skills.

KOREF was even more memorable, 3D2N in below-average living conditions was not as bad as my seniors said. The fun thing is that it was my first time camping in a FARM in Malaysia. Few of the many things that happened there was rafting on bamboo, water obstacles, trekking to a midpoint of some mountain half staggering, half panting, disgusting organic food, and alot of screaming :-D
Shan't elaborate much, 'cause every detail that happened between me and my classmates kept me thinking alot, and it's too wordy to type it all out.

Lastly... preparation for MTDC concert. It's crazy man. I feel that the conductors should do something about our standards, and stop instructing us to do conflicting things. Other than that, it's pretty enjoyable making music with people from other schools. I hope nothing goes wrong when my ensemble performs. Hope I won't freak out on that day gosh thinking about it makes me nervous.

Why do the years keep getting better? >:D

Conceit of Man

TO KICKSTART THE YEAR...........

I accompanied my mom to shop @ VivoCity.
Hmm nothing much to blog about only that she wanted to watch some chinese movie (since we had two free vouchers) but in the end we couldn't because we had little time left to exchange the vouchers to tickets. Boo hoo.

Erm ok nothing much at all. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS STUPID BUT I have been having nightmares about me running away from / combating supernaturals like zombies and ghosts for the past two days -_- Seriously I think it's kinda exciting + scary. HA. The only time I ever had a nightmare was when I was like 4/5 yrs old???

Can't wait for the first day of skooolz. New year new classmates new bonds new class new subjects new knowledge new life new obstacles new new new everything NEW. So kooolz.

To those who have never watched White Chicks

Get a life!
